Do you lose your phone as much as I do? And ALWAYS have it on silent? If someone texts you "lost phone", this shortcut will automatically turn your phone up to full volume and blast a loud song, allowing you to easily locate it!
Lost Phone Apple Shortcut
You will receive a link to download this specific Apple Shortcut to your device. First, make sure you have Apple Shortcuts downloaded to your device. Then, click on the link from an Apple Device and allow it to install to your own Shortcuts App. From there you can edit the Shortcut to fit your own needs. Comments are written into the shortcut to guide you where and how to edit.
You can edit the text that automates the shortcut from "lost phone" or change who is able to send you a text that automates it at any time. Make sure to watch the automation video to see how to automate the Lost Phone shortcut.
Tip 1: You can edit the shortcut to fit your needs on any device you'd like. Once it's finalized and ready to go, it will need to be shared to the user's device and installed. For example, if you as a parent edit it on your own device for your child's use, you will share it to your child's device so they can use the shortcut themselves.
Tip 2: Remember you can customize almost every piece AND send it to the device homescreen so you can use it like an app.
Tip 3: I recommend a folder within your shotcuts app that you title something like "originals". Keep a good copy of files there. When you want to play around and edit something, make a COPY of the original and edit it. That way if you do something you're not sure how to undo, you can just start over. There's unfortunately not currently a way to "lock" the shortcut from being edited once you've got it the way you like...believe me, I looked.
NOTE: This is ONLY for Apple products that support the Shortcuts App.
